Virtual Enterprise Los Angeles Area Trade Show in Pasadena

The Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy Small Business Sector sponsored and participated in the Virtual Enterprise Los Angeles Area Trade Show in Pasadena on February 13th which had 1,200 total attendees from 59 Schools.  This was one of several regional VE Trade Shows across the state where students participate in experiential learning and compete with other high schools from across the state and nation.  Click here to view a video of the Trade Show.

"Get a Taste of Success" Business Pitch Competition

The annual "Get a Taste of Success" Business Pitch Competition provides an opportunity for high school and community college students to develop entrepreneurial skills necessary to succeed in business. After an exciting final round live-pitch event, the top three community college and high school winners were announced:

2nd Place: MicroModula Mobile Design Studio for Female Creatives – San Diego Continuing Education

2017 Digital Media Educators Conference

The Small Business Sector partnered with the ICT-Digital Media Sector to host the 2017 Digital Media Educators Conference in June, 2017. The conference brought together nearly 300 business and digital media faculty from across the state to discuss the expanding fusion of digital media in business, government and healthcare. Keynote presentation videos and presentation slides will be posted soon for those who were unable to attend.
