Doing What MATTERS for Small Business

Entrepreneur Network of Los Angeles Kicks Off in Southern California

Students at Glendale Community College are enthusiastic about global business opportunities

Nine of the LA Region’s community colleges have joined together to form the Entrepreneur Network of Los Angeles. This centralized community hub is designed to connect entrepreneurs with industry professionals, and is part of the Strong Workforce project, Entrepreneurial Mindset Across Disciplines funded by the region.

Students who sign up for a free membership receive direct access to networking events where they learn from successful entrepreneurs, develop leadership skills and learn how to launch, grow and expand their business ideas. Members will also soon be able to access a network website featuring activities at each of the participating campuses:

Los Angeles Southwest College

East Los Angeles College

El Camino College

Long Beach City College

Los Angeles Mission College

Los Angeles Trade Tech

Los Angeles Valley College

Santa Monica College

West Los Angeles College

Entrepreneur Network representatives recently visited classes at Glendale Community College and Pasadena City College to introduce the new community and present the resources available to students at no cost, thanks in part to partnerships with GTL Pro Consortia, Network Kinnections, LinkedIn Learning, NexusEdge, and Campus Upstart.

Students enjoyed engaging with the presenters about small business concepts including global business opportunities. The Entrepreneur Network of Los Angeles will continue to engage students and plans to expand the network in order to provide the most relevant tools and resources to its members.
